Welcome to Mrs. Mott's Class Webpage
Hello everyone! My name is Jessie Mott and I was born and raised in Gresham, OR. I played volleyball at and attended Washington State University where I double majored in criminal justice and sociology. I received my Masters degree in teaching at Concordia University.
In my free time I coach volleyball, read and spend as much time with my husband and family as possible. I have 3 big lovable dogs named Gus, Della and Deets. In the summer I love to go rafting and bike riding as well.
I believe that the classroom should be a safe, diverse and respectful place to learn; where students are the center of learning and we can engage in interesting and fun curriculum.
I aspire to make learning fun and beneficial for all. Through this Webpage I hope to accomodate students as well as parents, by keeping everyone involved and up to date.
The main rule that I have in my class that I believe encompasses most everything is BE RESPECTFUL.
To me this means, Respect:
Yourself-Be a self advocate, be involved in your learning experience.
Your classmates- you are all in the learning community together.
Your teacher-be on time, follow directions etc.
Adults- listen and be polite etc.
The classroom-keep the classroom clean, this is a reflection of you.
This is a small list but we will go over it in class and I will actively remind students of my Golden Rule.
